Job Description
Warehouse Control Solutions (WCS) Ltd is looking for an experienced PLC Controls Engineer to assist with the design and development of conveyor control systems. WCS have extensive experience in the field of materials handling solutions and the successful candidate will be required to take part in the full project life-cycle; from order placement through to design and development, and to final on-site commissioning and support. Most projects will be UK based but candidates should be prepared to work abroad (Western Europe) when required.
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Electrical Engineering Degree, HND or HNC
- Experience of Siemens S7 PLC’s and/or Allen Bradley MicroLogix & SLC500
- Experience with box and pallet conveyor systems
- Siemens S5 experience would be an advantage
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Skilled in circuit design
- Experienced in commissioning and troubleshooting
- Must be able to work under pressure in a demanding and challenging environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
